DASQUE[E]R CALLS FOR SUPPORT!

Interesse beim que[e]r reinzuschnuppern oder mitzumachen?

Das que[e]r ist schon seit langem ein fixer Bestandteil der linken Szene in Wien. Fast jeden Mittwoch entsteht in der W23 ein Raum für Diskussionen, Vorträge, zum solidarischen Streiten am Podium oder einfach zum gemütlichen Abhängen.

Nachdem die Zukunft des que[e]r zwischenzeitlich sehr ungewiss schien, haben wir es wohl erstmal über den Berg geschafft. Mitunter läuft aber manchmal einiges doch etwas chaotisch - oft schlichtweg weil wir zu Wenige für zu viel zu Tun sind. Darum würden wir uns sehr über neue Leute, die sich einbringen wollen, freuen.
Vielleicht bietet diese Situation auch die Möglichkeit das que[e]r und seiner Struktur neu zu denken. Nicht zuletzt, da angesichts der momentanen gesellschaftlichen Situation das Weiterbestehen von linken und queer-feministischen Orten umso wichtiger ist.

Das que[e]r trägt zude0m dazu bei die W23 – als politisch autonomen Raum, der auch anderen Gruppen und Initativen zur Verfügung steht, der unabhängig von Förderungen ist und in dem kein Konsumzwang besteht – mitzuerhalten.

Alle Neugierigen laden wir darum zum Treffen am 7. 5 um 19 Uhr in der W23 ein.
Komm vorbei, es gibt unterschiedliche Arten sich einzubringen - und es machen auch nicht alle das gleiche bei uns.

PS: Es wird Essen geben und nach dem Treffen After-Drinks.

Open meeting, 7th May, 7pm

The que[e]r has been an integral part of the left scene for a long time. Almost every Wednesday the W23 is transformed into a space for intriguing lectures, solidary debate and relaxed conversations ath the bar.

After a rather uncertain future oft he continuing existience oft he que[e]r we have made it so far. Sometimes things are still running  a bit chaotic – mostly because there aren´t enough people to keep everything going smoothly. Therefore, new people who might be interested to participate would be a great help.

Furthermore, this also might be an opportunity to rethink the que[e]r and its structures and open it up not only for new people but also ideas. Especially in the face of the current social circumstances the existence of left and queer-feminist places is all the more important.

As part of the W23 we also help to maintain and open up the space for other groups and initiatives. We would like to keep these structure alive – a  politically autonomous space, independent of fundings and without any obligation of consumption - open for others to develop.
